Nicole Kidman (Babygirl) finds herself at the heart of an unsettling mystery in the trailer for Holland.
Directed by Mimi Cave (Fresh), Holland introduces us to teacher Nancy Vandergroot (Kidman), who lives an idyllic life alongside her well-respected husband (Matthew Macfadyen) and son (Jude Hill) in the town of Holland, Michigan. The trailer starts with a picture-perfect portrait of the neighborhood, complete with rolling tulip fields, clog dances, and picturesque windmills. But things take a strange turn as Nancy and her colleague (Gael GarcÃa Bernal) begin to suspect her husband of something sinister. It doesn’t help that he obsesses over a small model of Holland!
“You get to make up a story and control everything,” he tells his son about the model. “Like directing your own film, but better.”
Could he be controlling everyone in the town? Is Holland just a simulation? Whatever the truth is, the trailer is giving off some serious Stepford Wives vibes — and it’s not just because Kidman is here.
Holland hits Prime Video March 27.
